Healthy Knees Tips # 27.

Which Type of Bicycling is Good for Knee Pain, Outdoor or Stationary Indoor Bicycling?

Bicycling is a great exercise option for people with knee pains. A regular routine of bicycling keeps your knees moving through full range of motion and, at the same time, strengthens the muscles that support your knees.

Outdoor bicycle riding allows to see scenery and enjoy the natue; but the lumps and bumps of an outdoor bicycle ride might be too hard on the knees.
Instead, try stationary bicycle riding, which is less hard on the knees.

Recumbent bicycles, another option, allow you to cycle in a sitting position. So there would be less stress on your knees and even on back.

SO Team.
