Knee Instability
Postero-lateral Instability of Knee Joint:
Male aged 45 years had an injury 6 months back. He was treated with 6 weeks of plaster for some Internal damage to knee joint. After 6 weeks, a brace with hinges was given to him, that he was using for last four and half months. On presentation he had difficulty in walking and he felt falling tendency. On examination, he was diagnosed of having posterolateral instability. MRI did not show any intra-articular pathology with normal lateral meniscus and Posterior Cruciate Ligament. Diagnostic Arthroscopy was done to confirm the clinical and MRI findings before proceeding for a definitive management. After that, Postero-lateral reconstruction was done.
